If you’re new around here, welcome to Suni- Bear Farms! I am Brandie Denard- the founder, heart and owner of the farm! From my little self’s dream became this God filled journey finding my path and purpose for my life.

And if you’ve been following along for a while, you probably already know that this little farm is about so much more than a small hobby farm sitting on 5 1/2 acres in Pinson Alabama.

Suni- Bear Farms was created with a mission that is bigger than the farm itself:

“Here at Suni- Bear Farms we advocate for agriculture, spread kindness like wildflowers, and show God’s love to everyone.”

And the leading verse behind the farm is Matthew 5:16-18 — a reminder to always let our light shine for others.

And that’s exactly what I’m trying to do here- to spread some sunshine 👏🏻

“So why Suni- Bear Farms?”

I believe agriculture is something everyone should have the opportunity to experience and learn about agriculture - from kids to adults. I also believe animals can teach us patience, responsibility, compassion, and sometimes just how to slow down and enjoy the moment. And I  believe there should be a place where people can come, breathe a little deeper, leave their worries at the gate, and simply enjoy being around animals and nature.

That is what I have built and continue to build at Suni- Bear Farms- A place for animals AND humans. A place where you leave feeling just a little more like sunshine than when you arrived.

“Why are you so passionate about agriculture education?”

One of my biggest goals and a key part of the farm’s mission is getting agriculture education into the community. And I don’t believe learning about agriculture has to happen sitting behind a desk (because getting your hands dirty can help you learn more)

Suni- Bear Farms programs include:

🌱 Farm Tours — Come visit the farm, meet the animals, learn about what happens behind the scenes, and get a hands-on look at agriculture.

📚 Agriculture & Master Classes — Opportunities to dive deeper into different areas of agriculture and learn practical skills. there are several different topic options

🏡 Homeschool Lessons & Events — Agriculture-based learning experiences designed to bring lessons to life.

☀️ Sunshine Saturdays — Our open-farm community events focused on agriculture education, connection, and, of course, spreading sunshine.

🐓 Leave It At The Gate Sessions — A quiet opportunity to spend time with the animals, slow down, and leave the worries of the day at the gate for a little while.

🚜 Ag-Venture Learning — Where the farm takes agriculture education on the road and bring it directly to schools and groups.

🚌 Farm Field Trips — Bring your group to the farm for an agriculture learning experience.

🌻 Summer Agriculture Workshops — Hands-on opportunities to learn, explore, and experience different areas of agriculture.

🤩 Community Appearances — You’ll also find Suni- Bear Farms at festivals, libraries, city events, and other community gatherings.

And that’s just the beginning.

There is so much more I want to create. My brain never shuts off.

Because the goal wasn’t simply to have a farm. The goal and purpose is to use the farm to make an impact!

“Why farm fresh?”

Of course, I cannot talk about Suni- Bear Farms without talking about our girls! My chickens and ducks work hard around here, and I am super proud to offer farm fresh chicken eggs and duck eggs straight from our farm.

And if you’ve been trying to get eggs lately, you may have noticed our girls aren’t exactly working overtime. 😂

A large portion of the flock is going through molt; which means they’re busy shedding those old feathers and growing beautiful new ones just in time for winter to arrive. (Definitely wishing over here) Their bodies are putting extra energy and nutrients toward feather production, so egg production naturally slows down.

So you can say that the girls are taking a little vacation… but I just call it the great egg strike of 2026😂

Orders may take a little longer to fill, and we may not always have the same quantity available as we normally do.

“Okay, I understand farm fresh, but why homemade?”

Suni- Bear Farms’ homemade jellies have become another fun little piece of Suni- Bear Farms, and I love being able to offer something made right here with lots of love and a little bit of farm sunshine mixed in (because how else will you get the sweetest berries?!) Whether you’re picking up a jar for yourself, taking one to a friend, or looking for a simple local gift, every purchase helps support what the farm is all about.

And you never know what might show up in the farm shop next! 🫡😂

Keep an eye on the website and social media for new products, seasonal goodies, farm merchandise, and other ways to bring a little Suni- Bear sunshine home with you.

“So you’re just doing all this for the money?”

When you purchase eggs, jelly, merchandise, gift certificates, attend an event, book a tour, or support Suni- Bear Farms in any way, those proceeds go right back into the farm. ALL. PROCEEDS. I do not pocket a dime of the money earned at the farm. I work another full time job to support myself! Every dollar made for the farm helps supports: the animals, help maintain and grow the farm, and help me continues to create outreach programs and events that brings agriculture education and meaningful experiences for everyone- while keeping it affordable for everyone!
