Welcome back to your favorite farm’s blog!
We want to thank yall for stopping by and reading! We have some exciting things we want to share with yall!
First things first we want to scream and shout a huge thank you to everyone who supported our last shirt order! We had our biggest sale ever since putting our designs out! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! With that support it means we can continue to improve the farm, upkeep our favorites and of course help keep cost down for our programs to encourage the community to come out to the farm and learn about agriculture and God!
Next I had the amazing opportunity to go to Jefferson County’s annual meeting this last Friday and not only represent the farm and what all we do but also get a step closer to becoming the chairman of Jefferson county young farmers. It was such a neat experience to get to meet so many wonderful people with the Federation, women’s committee, Extension office and the 4 H group for the county! It was such a wonderful experience and hopefully will mean that I am just steps away from being the next chairman! I am so excited for the wonderful opportunity that the Lord has given me and I am so honored that the current chairman and federation wants me to be next to lead this wonderful committee and what it means!
Next up I want to talk about this wonderful event we have planned this Saturday! It’s the farm’ fall open house and Farm Fun Day all in one day! Two events in one? Yes please! I am so excited to be opening the farm’s gate to the community to offer up an afternoon filled with farm fun! Some of the activities are:
Animal lovings and treat giving
Fun crafts for the kids
Sign ups for agriculture classes, family pictures and our Farming in Faith Bible study
Farm shop and apparel will be open for custom orders and pickups!
Farmstand will be packed with goodies to purchase
Photo spot and opportunity for pictures with the animals
Fun facts session
We will also be taking donations for Second Shots Rescue
And so much more!
The more people who come, then more we will have out! Yall come on out this Saturday from 12pm- 4pm for a fun filled afternoon! Please message us to rsvp so we know we will have plenty of everything as well as to send you our address!
Please keep in mind with this crazy weather that our girls have slacked off on laying! Egg orders are on a waiting list and limited to either one dozen or one 18 count! We will message when your order is ready and then we will schedule a farmstand pickup time! Remember, if you want to see the animals, please schedule a private farm tour! Tours are $5!
We just want to take a moment and encourage you today to do something that will get you one step closer to your dreams. Whether that’s sending one email, enrolling into a further education course, designing your own business cards and ordering them, or simply just writing out your plans and goals to get to the end goal! Write out the hard questions that you know will be asked and write your answers down and start learning them that way you don’t stumble when the question does come up. Each one of these steps is a stepping stone to your end goal and dream. Make your younger self proud! Each of these actions should be done in faith and trusting God every step of the way. Each step is a step out in faith to continue down the “scary path” towards that dream. Dream chasing is hard and it’s scray. Taking those steps and actions are scray and intimadating and trust me when I say this- it’s not aneasy path where you just keep with the forward steps and everything works out. Let me just tell you- it doesn’t. It will always go God’s way and not yours- if you let it. “Well Brandie, what do you mean by that?” Sometimes with trusting God down your path will not be easy because you may have your heart set on one specific thing BUT GOD shows up and may take things away and show you what is bigger and better to come! This farm just didn’t start out this way, it was a lot of blood, sweat, tears, money and hard work to get the farm to how it is today. And let me tell you when I thought I would be able to do both horses and compete AND THE FARM, God had another thing coming for me. He laid out events that sadly broke me and led me to retire from competing and riding but it made me stronger to face criticism and disappointment but also showed me when to let go and accept. Because of that happening I am now next in line for chairman of young farmers. Never in a million years did I think that would happen but also if I was competing and working my tail off every weekend to prove something that wouldn’t push me to be better for the farm and my mission then I would not have the time to dedicate to the committee and opening up my schedule for community outreach! It’s so incredible what God does and how he uses specific events to not only to mold and shape you but also make you better for his work. And the best way I got through all of that a few months ago was letting go and letting God, worship and prayer, a lot of tears were shed, but I did not dwell on what had happened, instead I pressed on to the future. Pray intentionally about what situations you need help in and ask God to bring you comfort but also to mold and shape you for your path and dream and WATCH what God does for that dream and goal!
Yall it is just a wonderful adventure doing life- farm life as we call it here😂 And sharing it all with you makes it even better! Just know I am always here for an ear to listen, advice, someone to pray for you or someone to put a smile on your face. That’s what the whole mission of Suni- Bear Farms is about. Spreading sunshine and God’s love to all ☀️
Until the next blog (and now I need a tissue after writing this because God is just so good)

Matthew 5:16-18
“Here at Suni- Bear Farms we advocate for agriculture, spreading kindness like wildflowers, and show God’s love to everyone. We’re just out here making everyone feel like sunshine.”
